DISTRICT 10 RESIDENTS UNITED TO STOP THE TRANS BAY CABLE PROJECT |
APRI shares your goal of shutting down the Potrero Power plant and is eager to help make that a reality. In addition, APRI is also eager to help with the relocation of the wastewater operations from the Southeast Waste Water Treatment Plant to the Ocean Plant and eventually closing the plant in Bayview. |
APRI continues to educate the community about concerns with the TBC project. Few in the community fully understand the significant environmental challenges, geographic and other land use impacts this project will have on the community. It is even believed that this project is needed to close the Potrero Power Plant when in fact, the California Independent System Operator has indicated that building the TBC is NOT linked to closure of the power plant.’ Should this project be built, the community in district 10 will be saddled with both a power plant and a huge converter station doubling the negative environmental impact. |
APRI urges everyone to direct the SF PUC staff to properly educate the community in all of district 10 what the environmental impacts are of building the TBC project and be specific that a converter station taking up close to five acres will be installed. |

The following is a petition APRI has drafted soliciting the signatures of District 10 residents. |
