APRISF to hold Job App Sessions for Summer Internship
program
SAN FRANCISCO - As summer rapidly approaches and
internship opportunities start to become available, The
A. Philip Randolph Institute Youth Chapter is hosting
informational sessions to help mentor youth to obtain
those internship opportunities.
Every Wednesday starting February 20th and will continue
until all internship opportunities have been completed
from 4-7pm the A. Philip Randolph Institute San
Francisco offers this workshop for students from ages
16-24, located at our Learning Center at 1301 Evans
Avenue.
Organized by APRISF Youth Leaders, these workshops are
geared towards assisting young adults in applying for
internships. This includes internship positions at the
San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, San Francisco
Municipal Transit Authority and Department of Public
Works to name a few.
Our youth leaders and staff provide counseling to help
young adults from our community, complete the
application process for paid and unpaid internships. Our
workshops both allow teens the experience of applying
for a job and it helps prepare them for interviews and
job placements.
The program not only gives students an opportunity for a
steady source of income, but working experience in a
professional environment. This experience will help our
youth when applying for colleges and support these young
adults in planning their careers.
While we welcome all students to attend these
informational sessions, we also encourage San Francisco
youth to join the APRISF Youth Chapter as we continue to
guide and develop students for your working future.
